Lunch Bunch-KickOff Celebration
Children with disabilities face many struggles in their daily lives. One struggle is finding fun activities that help to keep them physically fit. Because of their specific special needs it is not always easy for these children to participate in available activities.
Every Saturday, the lunch bunch will offer children with disabilities an exercise class that is geared toward individuals with limited mobility. Along with the exercise portion the participants will be provided with a healthy lunch that will be prepared during the cooking demonstration/nutrition portion of the class.
Health Challenge
Nothing inspires students' energy and imagination like giving them ownership over their work. For this reason, America SCORES' Writing for the Community curriculum is built around the framework of service-learning principles. The service activities are the direct result of student-led brainstorming, research, and writing, as well as knowledge and values gained on the soccer field.
